BewerbungsHub ("we", "the service") is a job-application tracker consisting of a web app at bewerbungshub.com and a companion browser extension ("BewerbungsHub Capture"). This page explains what data the extension and web app collect and how it is used.

What we collect

• Account information: the email address and password you use to register and log in. Passwords are stored using a salted one-way hash (argon2); we cannot read your password.
• Authentication tokens: a short-lived access token and a refresh token, used to keep you logged in. The extension caches the access token in the browser's session storage (cleared when the browser closes) and never writes it to disk.
• Job application data you save: job title, company name, location, description, application status, interview and follow-up notes, and optionally an uploaded CV/résumé file — whatever you choose to save to your tracker, either by typing it into the web app or capturing it with the browser extension.
• Page content read by the extension: when you open the capture widget on a job posting page, the extension reads that page's visible content (title, company, description) to prefill the save form. It does not read or store any other page you visit, and does not track your browsing history.

What we do not collect

We do not collect health information, financial/payment information, personal communications (email/chat contents unrelated to the app), your location, your general browsing history, or any keystroke/mouse/click analytics.

How your data is used

All data is used solely to provide the job-application tracking service to you: storing and displaying your applications, authenticating you, and letting you retrieve or edit what you've saved. We do not sell or share your data with third parties, and we do not use it for advertising, credit scoring, or lending decisions.

Where your data is stored

Your data is stored in a database operated by us, on infrastructure we control. It is not shared with any third-party analytics, advertising, or data-broker service.

Data retention and deletion

Your data is retained for as long as your account exists. To request deletion of your account and associated data, contact us using the address below.
